The challenge was to take new apartment and turn it into a home. A personal space for a new family.

The choice of floor coverings, wall colour and furniture should ad value to the space, and help create an intimate environment out of a series built space. Rich textiles and serene colour layers on to downplay the apartment’s brutalist  finishes.

Marking spaces trough furniture and generating well distinguished programs make the space feel bigger, instead a of fractioned.

The remodel takes advantage of the clean lines of the unit. A drywall intervention opens up the main communication hallway, ceilings are marked with different visual levels in the kitchen and hallway, but maintain an open flow between spaces.

Fixed carpentry helps mark a clean line in the hallway and marks space separations from the living room to the dining room in the social area of the apartment, while in the private quarters, a low walnut screen separates the work area from the bed.
